Graduate Program Ranked No. 17 in Nation
U.S. News & World Report has ranked CU Boulder’s graduate program in chemical engineering No. 17 in the nation.
The program is No. 11 among public institutions.
The rankings are an improvement from the previous year, when CU’s graduate chemical engineering program was ranked No. 18 overall.
The updated rankings, released March 20, 2018, are based on academic peer assessment, GRE averages for entering students, faculty resources, student selectivity and research activity, among other factors.
“Our outstanding graduate programs earn national recognition in rankings like this year after year," said Ann Schmiesing, dean of CU Boulder’s Graduate School and vice provost for graduate affairs. "This is a testament to the robust, high-quality and impactful teaching, research and creative work of our incredible faculty and graduate students."
The College of Engineering and Applied Science ranked No. 18 among public institutions and No. 32 overall. Four other CU Boulder programs – aerospace, environmental, civil and mechanical – ranked in the Top 20 among public graduate engineering programs.
