Nick Mott (MJour) is a reporter at Montana Public Radio and a producer for the podcast Threshold, which is focused on tackling environmental issues. The podcast was founded by Amy Martin, a former CU Center for Environmental Journalism Scripps Fellow. Nickâs reporting has been featured in The Washington Post and on NPRâs Morning Edition. Thresholdâs second season, âCold Comfort,â won a regional 2019 Edward R. Murrow Award in the News Series category.

Megan Thiede (Mgmtâ19) was named a Fulbright finalist for the 2024â25 academic year by the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. Thiede graduated from the Leeds School of Business in 2019 and has since worked in strategy-focused roles across the outdoor retail, technology consulting, human-centered design and architecture industries.
She will pursue a masterâs degree in accessibility and diversity in digital services at Tampere University in Finland. Through research and collaboration with local nongovernmental organizations that partner with UNESCO learning cities, Thiede will explore how to co-design instructional practices for city residents to improve digital literacy.

Akshit Arora (MCompSciâ19) and his data science colleagues at NVIDIA recently won the LIMMITSâ24 challenge, an AI competition that asked contestants to create vocals in English or any of six languages spoken in India with the appropriate accent. The contest had competitors recreate a speakerâs voice in real time, and the teamâs novel AI model only required a three-second speech sample to accomplish this task.Ìę

Brigitte Keslinke (MClassâ19) was named winner of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation/Donald and Maria Cox Rome Prize in the category of ancient studies by the American Academy in Rome. The highly competitive Rome Prize fellowships support advanced independent work and research in the arts and humanities. Keslinke will receive a stipend, workspace, and room and board at the academyâs 11-acre campus in Rome, starting this September.

Indigo Fischer (Musâ19) is the artistic operations manager at The Music Academy of the West, based in Santa Barbara, California. Her role is focused on supporting the academyâs annual summer festival and year-round programming, which includes coordinating the logistics of guest artists, creating the festival schedule and helping produce over 120 master classes, concerts and competitions each summer. She told the CU College of Music in an interview last fall: âI had such an amazing undergrad and am so grateful for my time in Boulder. I miss the Flatirons, the farmers market, but mostly the community at the College of Music â I canât wait to visit!â

Rhodes Scholar Serene Singh (PolSci) was awarded the 2021 Diana Award. Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the award recognizes social action or humanitarian efforts. Sereneâs Diana Award recognizes The Serenity Project, which she founded in 2016 to combat the stigmatization of mental health and suicide. Serene is currently pursuing a doctorate in criminology at the University of Oxford.
