This is for any student that plans to graduate in听听May/August or Dec 2017.

You听Will need to apply for the FE exam:听

• before the end of January if graduating in May/August听

• before the end of August if graduating in Dec

You will听not be able to graduate听without taking the FE exam and DORA may take听one month to respond听to you and then you will need to see if there is an opening at a testing center near you. 听

This is not something you can work around and take later.

Latest to take it for a May graduation is听in April,听for a summer grad date July and听For december grad date Nov.

YOU WILL NOT听receive your听diploma until the next term if you do not complete the exam on time.
听

Instructions to Register for the FE Exam

The FE Exam is now offered as a Computer-Based Exam.听听 听NCEES will administer the FE Exam exclusively via computer at one of several approved Pearson VUE testing centers;听this website will provide the testing centers in CO:听

The FE Exam will be administered during听4 testing windows听throughout the year
(January - February,听April - May, July - August, and October -November).

We are encouraging you to please note that the May and November windows are too close to the end of the semester听to take the exam, especially when projects/designs are challenging to complete.

Here are the instructions to take the Computer-Based FE Exam:

1. Log onto the听NCEES听website:听听听to register and pay for the exam, $225.听Bring or email me a copy of the NCEES confirmation that you applied and paid for the exam.
2. 听Log onto the听DORA听website:听听听听complete the student application (EI Student app),听print and bring or email your confirmation that you applied and paid for the exam to me. 听This is the checklist:听听听
3. 听You will receive an 鈥渁pproval鈥� email from NCEES once they have verified you are approved by the state to sit for the exam. 听
4. 听Once you receive the听鈥渁pproval鈥� email, from NCEES you will then听log back into your NCEES account on the NCEES听website to听register for a particular testing site, date/time to sit for the test. You will then receive the appointment confirmation letter via email from Pearson Vue.

It is important that you听register early, before spaces fill up; especially if you are in need of a Saturday testing exam.

• 听At least 3-4 months ahead of time!

Bring the following forms to Joanne Uleau, ECST 201

• Copy of DORA online registration confirmation
• Copy of NCEES online registration confirmation e-mail

Once you have completed the FE Exam, you are to bring a copy of the听Letter of Completion听to me; this will be听used as proof that you took the exam and fulfills degree requirement for graduation.

Order your Transcripts

Student is responsible to do this: after graduation

5. Official Transcript Order Form听鈥� Go to:听

to print or submit form online.

MUST be completed once you have graduated听once your degree is听POSTED on your transcript.

Check this website for date degrees are posted:听听it will be under the area:听Degrees POSTED.

• 听听Print legibly听in ink听or type, or complete form online to submit and make payment
• 听听Years of Attendance听should be the actual years you attended CU (e.g. 鈥�2008-2012鈥�)听听听听听听听not听the number of years (e.g. 鈥�4鈥�)
• 听听Please use your CU e-mail address
• 听听Request that your Official听Paper听Transcript is mailed to:
