Jacobs in Bellevue, WA has an opportunity for a Civil/Environmental Engineer EIT (Water).Ìý

Position Summary

In this role, the Civil EIT will assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments, relating to wastewater collection and transmission, surface water drainage and conveyance, water supply and distribution, and other water-related topics.

  • Performs civil design calculations for sketches, technical evaluations and similar technical work for a variety of projects, as required by assignment.

  • Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

  • Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians.

  • Researches code issues and works with City, State, and County officials.

  • Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

  • May attend client review meetings, and interact with clients as his or her level of experience progresses.

  • Assists with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or will be obtained in next three months) is required.

  • Demonstration of water-related course work is required.

  • EIT certificate is required.

  • At least a 3.0 GPA is required.

  • At least one previous summer design internship or capstone project related to water, and/or land development projects is preferred.

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

  • Experience with GIS software is preferred.

  • Experience with water related computer-based models is preferred.
