Job Summary听
SCS Engineers听(SCS) is seeking an independent, forward-thinking engineer to assist with the workload of diverse, challenging projects in Virginia and adjacent states.听
Essential Duties and Responsibilities听
This position includes opportunities for landfill and landfill gas design (all phases, including construction plans, specifications and construction documents), Title V Air quality permitting, engineering analysis, feasibility studies, report writing, permit application preparation, as well as construction oversight. Within a relatively short period of time, the engineer would have the opportunity to manage projects of varying size. This engineer will also have opportunities to assist in the continued growth and development of SCS鈥� client base.听
Qualifications听
- Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering听required
- 0 - 5 years of experience in the Environmental Consulting Industry preferred听
- Experience in landfill and landfill gas design, AutoCAD, and construction preferred
- Professional written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills听
- Engineer in Training or Registered Professional Engineer preferred听
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certified preferred听(or willingness to obtain certification)
- Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies听preferred
- AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, other computer programs, and field equipment experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required
- Valid driver鈥檚 license and good driving record required
