This is a paid position for a student to assist with water quality measurements along the Columbia River to identify groundwater and irrigation inflows, between June 11 and August 22. This position allows for the opportunity of hands-on field work while paddling a canoe on the river and experience analyzing data. Work will be near Pasco, Washington under the supervision of a graduate student, and involves collaboration with staff at Pacific Northwest National Labs. Must have good swimming, boating skills, and ability to lift heavy loads.

We are looking for an undergraduate student to assistant in the collection and analysis of data that will assess spatial and temporal trends within the Colorado river network June-August 2018. We will be towing sensors from a boat down the Colorado River as well as hiking through headwater streams in Rocky Mountain National Park. The student will become part of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop and carry out their own part of the project. Student must have ability to lift heavy loads, backpack, camp, and participate in two-week river expedition in mid-July.
