INVST is seeking an Outreach Assisant for Social Justice for the '24-'25 Academic Year

Position Description:ÌýINVST is a two-year long eco-social justice leadership training program for undergraduate students at CU Boulder. ÌýWe are beginning to recruit a new cohort for the 2024-2026 class and are seeking an Outreach Assistant for Social Justice to support recruitment of a diverse, and multi-disciplinary cohort into our program. The assistant will participate in some or all of the following: Gather and set up tabling materials in the UMC and around campus, advertise for and attend outreach events, distribute flyers & lawn signs, chalk, create posts for INVST’s social media, and make announcements to classes, student groups and clubs, multicultural sororities and fraternities, residence halls, and other campus groups.Ìý

Must enjoy talking to people
Excellent communication skills
Personal organizationÌý
Desire to cultivate public speaking skills
Familiarity or membership in any of the following groups is not required, but would be a bonus: CU Engage, the CU Lead Alliance, CUE, the Center for Inclusion & Social Change,, MSA, BSA, Oyate, CU Gold, the Leadership RAP, the E Center, the VRC.

Logistical Details:ÌýFlexible schedule, 5-8 hours per week, mostly on-campus and in person, but some remote (i.e., social media postings). Though we begin recruitment in the Fall, our efforts ramp up in the Spring. We’d like to hire someone who can commit to the entire academic year. Reports to the Interim INVST Program Director, Allie Van Buskirk. Start date ASAP.
