CU Science Discovery hosted the annual event Family STEAMFest on March 16, 2024 at the University of Colorado's East Campus in Boulder, in the Sustainability, Energy and Environment Community (SEEC) building. Over 1000 individuals in family groups came to the event this year and they worked together to co-create a data-driven artwork sponsored by MCM LTER. The project engaged visitors in creating a hanging textile artwork inspired by ancient Incan Quipus. The artwork聽featured changing temperatures and precipitation rates in Colorado across the past 75 years.聽
