PhD candidate Joseph Stenberg has won a two-year Humboldt postdoctoral fellowship . He will be working with Dominik Perler at Humboldt University, revising and expanding his dissertation into a book manuscript.

Department lecturer Andrew Chapman has won a Marinus Smith Award from the CU Parents Association. The award identifies and recognizes CU-Boulder faculty, staff, coaches, and administrators who have made a significant impact on the lives of CU-Boulder undergraduate students.

Two of the Department's PhD candidates have won Center for the Humanities and Arts dissertation fellowships for AY16-17: Tyler Huismann has won the Thomas Edwin Devaney Dissertation Fellowship, and Daniel Lowe the Emerson Dissertation fellowship.
