The CU Boulder Puksta scholars had a fantastic retreat at NCAR聽on August 27, 2016. 聽We聽welcomed 9 new scholars to our family and filled the day with team-building, stories,聽workshop sessions, good food, and of course, the blind hike.聽The scholars were fortunate to have Elvira Ramos of the Community Foundation of Boulder County and Manuel SiFuentes of the Boulder County Latino Task Force and CU Engage who offered a broad vision of potential community partners. 聽Norma Johnson led a聽powerful session on privilege and passion. 聽Advisers Elaina Verveer and聽Jenn Ciplet along with聽John Mulstay and NiChel Meis from the Puksta Foundation made this a memorable event. 聽聽聽
