Dear [first],

You're on a waitlist for one or more Spring 2020 classes. Waitlists can be confusing, so here's a brief overview of how they work.

What You're Waiting For

When a class is full, departments may offer a waitlist to allow non-enrolled students to get in line for the next available seat. When someone drops the class, the first eligible student on the waitlist is automatically enrolled in their place.

If that waitlisted student is you, you'll receive an email within 24 hours to let you know you're enrolled. If you're retaking the class for grade replacement, remember to submit your grade replacement request by Friday, March 20.

Waitlisting Tips

  • Register for a backup class and set up drop if enrolled to ensure you have a full schedule if you aren't enrolled from the waitlist.
  • Check your waitlist position to help gauge your likelihood of being enrolled.
  • If it doesn't look like you'll be enrolled, consider staying on the waitlist so you can use course reservation.
