I applied to be part of STUDIO Lab because I wanted real life experience within the topics of my major (political science)---rather than continue to sit in a classroom in which I would remain naive to how politics shapes our day-to-day lives and influences our interactions with others. Plus STUDIO Lab is the best opportunity to attain knowledge and skills on how to properly conduct and analyze data, even if such data isn’t related to my major. I am excited to be part of STUDIO because I will get to interact and work with an individual (my mentor) who is incredibly knowledgeable and interested in a specific research topic. I am also excited to interact with other students who desire to learn and gain experience, similar to myself. I think that STUDIO Lab will enable me to gain a better understanding of not only research methods and application, but also how people from different backgrounds and experiences engage and work together in personal and professional environments.Ìý
