Angel Martinez (graduated from our group in Fall 2014) earned the prestigious Glenn H. Brown Prize from the International Liquid Crystal Society (ILCS). Congratulations to Dr. Angel Martinez!

The researchers team, led by CU Professors Ivan Smalyukh and Ronggui Yang, will use liquid crystals to create a transparent, solid film that is insulating, soundproof and water condensation-proof. The team includes graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Hayley R. O. Sohn was selected to receive a 2016 National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) Fellowship. The award was based on demostrated by Hayley potential to contribute to strengthening the vitality of the U.S. science and engineering enterprise. Congratulations to Hayley!
