Baker Machado (Jour) is an anchor and host at Cheddar, the business-and-lifestyle TV network that broadcasts from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. His daytime program, Between Bells, airs at noon ET. Baker was a correspondent for E! News in Los Angeles from 2011 to 2016. In March 2019, he married Jared Shulman.听

Stephanie Lyra (Jour,Thtr)听works as an editor at Bunim Murray Productions. She was nominated for an Emmy this year for outstanding picture editing for an unstructured reality program for her work on A&E鈥檚听Born This Way,听a series following seven young adults who have Down syndrome. She lives in Los Angeles, California.听

Brendon Bosworth (MJour) runs the Communicating Science for Impact program with Dr. Tali Hoffman. Since launching the program, they have trained more than 350 scientists to more effectively communicate their research.

Abby Whipple (MediaSt) completed her MBA at Pforzheim University, in Germany, in 2021. She founded the nonprofit Restorative Justice Data Systems with seed funding from the National Center on Restorative Justice and the federal Bureau of Justice Assistance. The nonprofit is coordinating the availability and implementation of a data collection, analysis and reporting system for restorative justice programs across the country.

Paris Bradley (Jour) is senior vice president of strategy and communications at Teneo鈥攁 global CEO advisory firm鈥攚here she oversees media relations for the world鈥檚 leading companies. Prior to Teneo, Bradley was a vice president at Edelman where she built and scaled global, integrated media campaigns. Before Edelman, she led product communications and served as company spokesperson at DISH. In 2017, she was awarded at CES for her work championing diversity, equity and inclusion in the technology industry.

Christie Sounart Henry (Jour) is the senior associate editor of the Coloradan, CU Boulder鈥檚 alumni magazine. She has worked for the publication for more than 10 years. She and her husband, Levi Henry (Math), live in Westminster with their son and enjoy traveling whenever possible.

Rachel Dubrovin (Jour) is the manager of digital editorial for Major League Fishing. She joined MLF in 2017, before the league鈥檚 expansion and creation of the MLF Bass Pro Tour. She manages a team of professionals and has the privilege of visiting some of the most beautiful communities and lakes in America to tell stories about one of the greatest sports there is: professional bass fishing.

Emily Talley听(Comm)听retired from professional golf this year after playing 3 seasons on the LPGA Symetra Tour and a 4th and final season on the Ladies European Tour. Emily resides in Oslo, Norway with her fianc茅, Andreas H酶ye (Finance 鈥14) who was on the CU cross country ski team. Emily is the content and sales manager for an outdoor adventure start-up and app called Outtt which is based in Oslo.

After diving into the tech world for six years and working for an in-house creative team, Alex (Becknell) Ursetta (Advert) joined Article Group, based in Rochester, New York. Article Group tackles hard problems for some of the largest tech companies. She works remotely from colorful Colorado and in her spare time, she can be found hanging out with her fluffy sidekick, Kenya, and CU copywriter crush-turned-husband, DJ (Advert鈥12).

Kylie Bearse (Jour) has been a meteorologist since 2011 and recently joined FOX31 as the weekday morning meteorologist. She loves the challenge of forecasting every season in Colorado and is an avid hiker. Bearse is a certified meteorologist after going back to school at Mississippi State University.

Wisdom Amouzou (Comm) was nationally recognized for his social justice impact in education. In 2015, he co-founded the HadaN玫u Collective, an organization that cocreates innovative learning spaces in K鈥12 schools. He serves as the executive director of Empower Community High School, an innovative high school launching this fall in Aurora, Colorado, that will feature a four-year ethnic studies program, experiential project-based learning and a student-led school model. Wisdom was a 2017 Camelback Ventures Fellow and winner of the 2017 Teach for America Social Innovation Award.

Griselda San Martin (MJour鈥13) is a Spanish documentary photographer based in New York City. Her project,听The Wall, includes a photography series by the same name and a short documentary titled The Other Side, which she produced, directed and edited. The project focuses on Friendship Park, a portion of the U.S./Mexico border between San Diego, California, and Tijuana, Mexico, where families meet through the metal fence that separates the two countries. The photography series is the winner of The FENCE 2018 Juror鈥檚 Choice award.

Emmy winner听Savannah Sellers (Jour)听was recently announced as co-anchor of听NBC News'听Stay Tuned,听Snapchat鈥檚 first daily news show. Featuring current events and entertainment news, it will run every day at 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and at 1 p.m. on weekends.听鈥淚t鈥檚 the first daily show of any kind on the platform,鈥 said听Nick Ascheim, senior vice president of digital at听NBC听News. 鈥淪nap has been very public that it wants to invent mobile television.鈥

The Green Bay Packers signed a contract extension making听David Bakhtiari (Comm ex)听one of the NFL鈥檚 highest-paid tackles. In 2013, David started every game at left tackle, becoming the first rookie to do this for Green Bay since 1978.
