Get Involved

We are looking for dedicated students who have a love of space to join our team of Space Minor ambassadors. The University of Colorado Boulder's Space Minor has a full calendar of upcoming events, and always needs new ideas as well. We need people willing to create and volunteer at these events to make them as smooth and as fun as possible. These students will work closely with leadership to create fun ideas for the program, host Space Minor events, and help spread the work about the Space Minor.

The Space Minor is creating a program for students to learn about Building Upon Firsthand Foundational Skills (BUFFS). Currently we are offering the Balloon Payload Program.ÌýA special program that allows any student in the Space Minor an opportunity to build a balloon payload and launch it to the edge of space! Students are challenged to design, fabricate, launch, recover, and analyze data from balloon payloads.

°Õ³ó±ðÌýSpace Minor Peer MentoringÌýprogramÌýoffers a group mentoring experience for students to meet other first or second year students and be matched with at least 2 upper classmen. This is a way for all students to build their peer base at campus, learn about college life, help those walking in similiar paths, and to build the Space Minor community!

This program can give current students an opportunity to connect with a alumnus and ask questions, get guidance, and understand the current workforce. °Õ³ó±ðÌýSpace Minor Alumni Mentor ProgramÌýallows the next generation of students an opportunity to work on professional growth by creating connections between alumni and current students.
